It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Standley, better known as Zar Zar, of La Pointe, Mon Repos, who resided at Hospital Road, Castries. She passed away peacefully on September 27th, 2026, at the Millennium Heights Medical Complex, at the age of 80.
She was also a resident of the St. Francis of Assisi Home and a retired vendor at the Halcyon Hotel.
She was the daughter of the deceased Judith Ferdinand of La Pointe, Mon Repos, and the deceased Jones Serieux of Patience, Mon Repos.
She was also pre-deceased by her uncle:
Brockley Ferdinand of Marc Bexon

The funeral service of the late Margaret Standley, better known as Zar Zar, will be held on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at the Rambally Chapel, La Tourney, Vieux Fort at 2:00p.m. The body will be laid to rest at the La Tourney Cemetery.
Her body now lies at Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, Calvary Road, Castries.
May her soul rest in perfect peace
